eBooks and eAudiobooks

 

Harrow Libraries provide free access to thousands of eBooks and eAudiobooks from a range of suppliers which can be downloaded onto your PC, tablet and smartphone. 

The services can be viewed via a web browser or you can install the Libby App or BorrowBox App onto your mobile device.

Overdrive provides access to thousands of eBooks, eAudiobooks and digital magazines for adults, teens and children.

  • Magazines (Opens in new window) Overdrive now provides a huge range of digital magazines. All your old favourites from RB Digital have moved across plus many new titles to discover.

  • Lucky Day (Opens in new window) is a special collection of highly popular titles of eBooks and eAudiobooks that are available on a first come, first served basis. All can be borrowed for 14 days but cannot be renewed and are automatically returned at the end of loan period. The list of titles will change as books are returned to the collection, so check back often. 

  • Language courses (Opens in new window)  learn from a wide range of languages.

  • Kids' Collection (Opens in new window) visit the kids collection for picture books and 'readalongs' for under 5s, a wide range of children's fiction, and homework help arranged by subject. There are special collections promoted on a regular basis. This is particularly helpful if you are unsure what you might want to read as they are carefully chosen by library staff.

  • Teen Collection (Opens in new window) visit the teen collection for a wide range of fiction and study guides for young adults. Special collections are promoted regularly so check them out if you need help to find your next good read, information on social issues and wellbeing.

  • Graphic novels and comics (Opens in new window) a wide range of graphic novels, manga and comics available to download. Full collection of Marvel comics plus DC comics and Vertigo.

  • Libby App (Opens in new window) A state-of-the-art reading experience. Libby’s ebook reader makes it easy to customize how you read - online or offline. You can adjust an ebook's font size, book layout, and lighting. As you read, you can also add bookmarks, create notes and highlights, and define words.
